About The Author
Tasnim Ahsan is an internationally acclaimed internist and endocrinologist. A graduate of Dow Medical College, Karachi, she completed her postgraduate training in the UK. Upon returning to Pakistan in 1984, she made her career working in public sector teaching institutions. Her last assignment in government service was as Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi, the first woman to serve in that position. She has devoted her life to serving the underprivileged communities and teaching and training young doctors. She has been awarded the ‘Laureate Award 2023’ for ‘International Excellence in Endocrinology’ by The Endocrine Society of USA. Tasnim Ahsan lives and works in Karachi, Pakistan.
